Book Print!

What books have made a difference in your life? After reading certain books, I feel as if they have changed me. This weekend, while reading Sarah’s Keys, by Tatiana de Rosnay, I felt moved by the story of a French journalist seeking information about a girl in 1942. I made my heart jump as I read the lines from the book. I felt intrigued by what the journalist was learning through her investigation.

As the Library Media Specialist, I too, try to seek out knowledge from the books I read. Sarah’s Keys moved me!

Some of the other books that over my lifetime have impacted me are the following:

What books have you read in your childhood so far, that have impacted you?

Storytellers

Students in 2A used PHOTOSTORY 2 to tell a story using pictures. Here are some picutures of the students working as well as their thoughts.

2A Students:

Reflect on what it was like to be storytellers. Think about what group you were in and how telling the story on the computer can help you as a writer.

During the last couple of weeks, we have been working with  some 5th graders. In the lab, we have learned the basics of photography and videography. The students were able to practice what they learned.

5th Graders:Take a look at what you recorded!

Then post a reflection to what you learned during our weeks together.

What new knowledge do you have that will help you as a learner?

BOLA for Beginners

So,

You are about to start some really cool investigations into the technical and digital art world. Talk with your partner and write some wonderments that you have about the technology that is available to us today. What would you like to learn about? What do you find interesting and “cool”? How might you go about learning more about the questions you have?
